Part of a multi-phase project, the extent of the project comprised full Interior Renovations of the Main Church, including redesign of the main Altar area. The Risen Christ statue that was the focal point of the Altar was relocated to a higher position on the rear wall of the Sanctuary. PQH redesigned the Altar and opening in the rear wall of the Altar with a new dome structure to evoke a greater sense of transcendence, refocusing on a Crucifixion scene with the Crucified Christ, Mary his mother, and St. John the Apostle, all within the new dome. The Main Altar was extended into the former Tabernacle area, to act as one complete Altar/Tabernacle area. PQH redesigned the areas on either side of the Altar area for greater use, proper scale and overall architectural balance of the Sanctuary. PQH also modernized the Marian Center to create new meeting room spaces that include an updated video system. The entire interior of the church was re-painted and new carpet installed. Pews were refinished and reupholstered. A platform was installed in the Children’s Room to improve sightline to the altar from a seated position.
