11 East Forsyth

DESCRIPTION

Located in Downtown Jacksonville, this 17-story 153,000 square foot Chicago style mixed-use building was originally constructed in 1926. The renovated structure includes 126 modern apartments with lofts on the top floor. The project amenities include a community center with fitness facility, a 155-car parking garage, and retail space on the main floor. PQH was responsible for the restoration of many architectural features including poly-chromatic terra-cotta panels, decorative ceilings and cast iron panels. Renovated elevators, new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, additional infrastructure and a new precast concrete six-story parking garage constructed adjacent to the building. Inside the building, modern amenities were added while respecting the historic integrity of the structure. The building was renamed to “11 East Forsyth” and it opened in 2003 for occupancy​. 11 East was previously known as the Lynch Building and as the American Heritage Life Building. In December of 2003, the building was added to the US National Register of Historic Places.
