Sulzbacher Enterprise Village – Affordable Housing (Phase 1)

Affordable Housing Community Supporting Long-Term Stability

Sulzbacher Enterprise Village phase 1 – Affordable Housing is a 100-unit residential community designed to provide stable, accessible housing as part of the larger Enterprise Village campus in Jacksonville.

Design Approach

As the residential foundation of Enterprise Village, the development responds to Jacksonville’s need for affordable housing while supporting access to healthcare, workforce development, and supportive services. The project is designed to foster stability, dignity, and community connection through a housing-first approach.

As the first building within the broader campus design, the residential community will benefit from direct access to resources that support long-term independence, creating a living environment that extends beyond housing alone.

Community Integration

As part of the broader Enterprise Village initiative, the development will be closely connected to phase 2A:

  • Healthcare services provided through the Clinical Building (Phase 2A)
  • Workforce training programs
  • Employment opportunities
  • Supportive residential resources

This integrated approach extends beyond traditional affordable housing models by addressing many of the factors that contribute to housing insecurity and economic hardship. Residents will benefit from direct access to healthcare services provided within the Clinical Building, reinforcing Enterprise Village’s integrated approach to housing, wellness, and long-term stability.

Residential Living

The approximately 67,000-square-foot development includes:

  • 100 affordable housing units
  • Community-focused residential environment
  • Future Access to supportive campus services
  • Future Connections to education and employment resources

Together, these elements create a housing experience that prioritizes stability, dignity, and opportunity.

Impact

Sulzbacher Enterprise Village – Affordable Housing establishes the residential foundation of a larger community-centered vision. By pairing housing with access to healthcare, workforce development, and supportive services, the project helps create pathways toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency for individuals and families in need.
