Founded in Jacksonville, Florida as Perez Suarez and Associates, Inc. by Jose Perez and Augusto Suarez, with an early focus on commercial architecture, K-12 schools, and private sector multifamily projects.

Founded in Jacksonville, Florida as Perez Suarez and Associates, Inc. by Jose Perez and Augusto Suarez, with an early focus on commercial architecture, K-12 schools, and private sector multifamily projects.
Became Perez Associates Architects, Inc. after leadership changes. Ricardo Quinones and Rob Hoenshel joined, strengthening the practice and expanding work into higher education and municipal projects.

With three principals leading the firm, it was renamed Perez Quinones Hoenshel Architects, Inc., later shortened to PQH Architects, Inc. with the launch of a new brand identity. This transition marked a new era of growth, expanding work across educational, municipal, federal, and multifamily projects, including the U.S. Postal Service.

Becoming PQH

With three principals leading the firm, it was renamed Perez Quinones Hoenshel Architects, Inc., later shortened to PQH Architects, Inc. with the launch of a new brand identity. This transition marked a new era of growth, expanding work across educational, municipal, federal, and multifamily projects, including the U.S. Postal Service.
Added planning, interior design, and construction services, establishing a fully integrated practice. In 2009, the firm became PQH Group, Inc., reflecting broader services and a strengthened leadership structure.

Following the recession, PQH expanded into new markets and strengthened capabilities across civic, educational, healthcare, and housing projects. In 2015, the firm was renamed PQH Group Design, Inc. to reflect a renewed focus on design services and an expanding leadership team.

Today, PQH Group Design is led by a six-partner team that combines diverse expertise and fresh perspectives. Five of the six represent a new generation of leadership. This structure builds on the firm’s legacy while ensuring continuity of vision and long-term growth.
