Project Overview

Ashley Square is a six-story senior living facility located in the heart of Jacksonville’s Cathedral District. Completed in 2022, the $17.9 million, 171,000-square-foot development provides affordable, amenity-rich housing designed to support active, independent living.

The community includes:

• 96 one-bedroom apartments (600 SF)
• 24 two-bedroom apartments (900 SF)
• Apartments designed with practical, accessible layouts

By combining residential comfort with shared amenities, Ashley Square supports both privacy and community life.

Design Approach

The design integrates two levels of structured parking at grade and below grade, maximizing urban efficiency while preserving space for active community areas on the ground floor. Above, four residential levels create a rhythm of modern one- and two-bedroom units scaled for daily comfort.

Shared amenities enrich the resident experience, including:

• Clubhouse for gatherings
• Fitness center to support health and activity
• Computer lounge for access to technology
• On-site laundry for residence convenience

This amenity-rich environment is tailored specifically for senior living in a downtown urban context, encouraging independence while nurturing wellness and social interaction.
