Project Overview

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, The Starling at San Jose is a two-story senior living facility designed by PQH Group Design to combine comfort, care, and elegance in a residential setting. The Mediterranean-inspired architecture fits with the historic Mediterranean context of the San Jose area establishing a sense of familiarity and warmth, creating a home-like environment that balances independence with supportive living.

The $10.5 million, 81,290-square-foot community provides both assisted living and memory care accommodations, complemented by thoughtfully designed amenities that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Design Approach

The design promotes well-being and engagement through light-filled communal spaces, varied dining experiences, and outdoor promenades that encourage interaction with nature. Materials and finishes were selected for both durability and comfort, while the layout supports clear navigation and practical staff accessibility.
